From the Planner menu, choose Asset > Create.
The Create Asset wizard opens, displaying the Select Instance Class screen.
From the list box, select an instance class and click Next.
The Modify Instance screen opens for the selected object.
In the Attributes window, right-click and choose Open Catalog.
The Catalog dialog box opens.
In the Catalog Items window, select an asset and click OK.
The attribute values of the selected catalog item now appear in the Attributes window. Also, if you move your cursor over the design file, you will notice that the selected asset is attached to the cursor.
In the Create Asset wizard, modify any editable attributes.
Note:
Some attribute values are inherited from the catalog and cannot be changed (for instance, the length of a table). Others are simply default or initial values that may be changed; some attributes may not have been given a default value and they, too,may be changed.
In the design file, place a data point to set the origin of the asset, then place a second data point to set the angle of the asset.
Do one of the following:
If you are finished at this point, click Finish.
or
To link the asset to other objects, click Next.
The Connections screen opens.
To search for items to link to the instance, click Find or Navigate.
Once you find the object you want to link to the instance, drag and drop the object into the Objects list box.
When you are finished linking objects, click Finish.
