    Starting OpenBuildings Energy Simulator

    Overview

    This article explains how to start the OpenBuildings Energy Simulator software.

    Method

    The easiest way to start OpenBuildings Energy Simulator is to use the search function in the bottom left of your Windows toolbar:

    Typing in the name of the software should show the following:

    Alternatively, should you wish to use a shortcut to open the software, you can add one to the Taskbar by right clicking and selecting the below:

     

    Important: The green OpenBuildings Energy Simulator icons should not be confused with the blue OpenBuildings Designer icons - ie

                                                             

    Once you have started Energy Simulator, to start or open a project a Workspace and Workset must be selected as detailed here.
