OpenBuildings Energy Simulator can be used to achieve numerous BREEAM credits.
Please note that Dynamic Simulation in OpenBuildings Energy Simulation utilises the approved EnergyPlus simulation engine, and the related AM11 document can be found here.
Daylight Simulation can be performed using the Radiance simulation engine, to analyse Daylight Factors and Visual comfort levels.
The Temperature Frequency simulation can be used to calculate the hourly results of room temperatures for the entire year.
This can be found on the Simulation menu, by clicking on the Simulation Method dropdown and selecting Temperature Frequency:
Click Start to run the simulation, and the results can be displayed numerically or shown as a temperature frequency curve.
The PartL SBEM interface can be used to perform "energy modelling of the building’s specified/designed regulated fixed building services and fabric, as undertaken by an accredited energy assessor using approved building energy calculation software", required by ENE 01.
