Roofs - Difficulty Tracing Roof Segments

      Product(s): OpenBuildings Energy Simulator
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Building Modelling
      Subarea: N/A

    Overview

In the Roof menu, there are two methods of tracing your roof segments - 3D points in active coordinate system, or 2D points on plan view.

    Method

Please note that the 3D method requires a detailed knowledge of Accudraw methods for drawing in 3D.

For all other users it is suggested that the 2D method of tracing is instead used:

This will allow you to trace in 2D, plan view, and elevate sections accordingly.

Please ensure to Setup your roof sections once drawn.
