    How to change Roof Type

      Product(s): OpenBuildings Energy Simulator
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition
      Area: Building Modelling
      Subarea: N/A

    Overview

When a roof is traced and then set up, it will adopt the default roof type as set in your Defaults Manager. This article demonstrates how to change the type thereafter.

    Method

There are two ways of changing your existing roof type:

    • Use Global Change to select the room in question, and change the surface details for the roof type

    Or:

    • Use the Project Tree by expanding the Surfaces for the relevant room under the roof, and then double-clicking on the roof surface to view its properties.
