When you are designing compound exterior walls, keep in mind how you are going to be placing them. For walls where the structural material aligns with the edge of the floor slab it is a good idea to create the compound wall defined by the side of the structural material. This makes it easier to place by simply tracing the edge of slab.
To accomplish this, you need to make sure that the one side of the structural material of your wall is set up with a 0:0 horizontal offset.
The second step is to make the Main Wall Thickness equal to the thickness of your structural component.
