Environment:

General Information

Subarea:

N/A

Overview

Project data such as custom materials and constructions will often be needed in multiple projects.

Rather than having to create such data for each project, OpenBuildings Energy Simulator allows you to use existing data by selecting a template.

Please note that selecting the Template as "None" is perfectly fine, the Workset will be created as shown here.

Method

To do so:

Create or determine the Workset that will be used as a template. Say, for example, "Example Workset" as below contains all of our custom materials and constructions.

Then, staying within the same Workspace, creating a new project as normal by selecting Create Workset:

You will then be able to select the Workset you wish to use as a template:

Upon pressing OK, the new Workset will be created inclusive of the "Example Workset" project data.
