Overview

This article details how to include flat ceilings in rooms that are below a pitched roof.

Method

To achieve this, Plenum rooms should be used as the attic/void space.

Say, for example, the roof pitch rises to 5m, with a flat ceiling below at 3m:

1. When entering the room(s) below you could enter: 
   
   Note that while the plenum height will be set at 2m, this is irrelevant as it will be adjusted to the roof pitch when we set up our roof. At this point your building will be flat such as:
   
   
   
   
2. Go to Roofs and create your Roof:
   
   
   
   
3. Add the roof sections in flat 2D:
   
   
   
   
4. Use Elevate Edge to adjust roof pitch. In this case:
   
   
   
   
   
5. Setup Roof:
   
   
   
6. This will adjust the pitch of the plenum spaces:
