Overview

This article provides guidance on entering Infiltration values to your building.

Method

There are two distinct areas where infiltration values can be entered in OpenBuildings Energy Simulator:

1. Room Properties:
   
   Here you can enter an Infiltration Change Rate for Winter and Summer.  These values are the rooms design conditions and the winter / summer values are used in the heat loss / heat gain calculations respectively:
   
   

   

2. Infiltration Component:
   
   In addition, an infiltration Component can be added - this is additional infiltration which will be considered in dynamic simulations only.
