Variables or other sub-dialogs are not visible

      Product(s): Configuration Explorer
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Workspaces
      Subarea:

    Problem

After processing a configuration and using the Files, Variables or other links from the main page I cannot see the resulting dialogs, they appear as blank previews in the Windows taskbar.

    Solution

Sometimes invalid values are stored for the position of these windows, often in conjunction with multiple monitors.

There are two ways to correct this, once Configuration Explorer is closed:

    1. find and delete the file user.config, normally found in a location similar to: C:\Users\....\AppData\Local\Bentley_Systems,_Incorpor\ConfigurationExplorer.exe_Url_p23gusv1mudc4ikvqveuyim0ny0xpyax\10.0.0.11
    2. find and edit this file, look for settings with the name **_Location that have negative values, delete these values.
