Using Construct Opening by Compound Cell

      Product: OpenBuildings Designer
      Version: CONNECT Edition
      Area: Form Modeling
    Subarea Construct Opening in Form

    The Situation

Have you ever needed to place a door or window in a wall that is in a reference file? How do you perforate that wall?

    Solution

Use Construct Opening by Compound Cell to cut an opening using a compound cell that is referenced to the active model.

The Construct Opening tool can be set to use a compound cell as the perforator and will create a feature cut in the wall even if the compound cell is referenced to the active model.
