Curtain Walls cannot be placed By Element along SmartLines. When a SmartLIne is converted to a b-spline curve Curtain Wall placement will be possible.

Note that the placement line will be retained but is not linked to the Curtain Wall. The Curtain Wall can be manipulated by turning on the Base Curve as described in help topic Home > OpenBuildings Architecture > Curtain Walls > Curtain Wall Manipulation:
