    Plumbing System

    Background

If you want to add the different pipe fitting from one of the plumbing catalogs and add it to another required one you can achieve it by following the mentioned steps.

    Steps to Accomplish

Below is the workflow that needs to be followed to copy one catalog’s pipe fittings to a different plumbing catalog.

In this example using the UK dataset, we will copy the BendWithHeel fitting from "EN-PipesAndFittings" to "Vic Data Files_si" Files.

    1> Browse to (C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_UK\DataGroupCatalogs\Plumbing_Lib)

2> Copy the BendWithHeel table from EN-PipesAndFittings.mdb to VicData Files_si.mdb using the direct drag and drop option as shown.

3> Copy the “BMP_BendWithHeel” Catalog name block from EN-PipesAndFittings.xml to Victaullic_si.xml as shown below

    - In our example it will be changed from
    “<Database Filename="$(BMECHDIR_PLUMBING_LIB)EN-PipesAndFittings.mdb" TableName ="BENDWITHHEEL" Unit="ME"/>”
    To
    “<Database Filename="$(BMECHDIR_PLUMBING_LIB)Vic Data Files_si.mdb" TableName ="BENDWITHHEEL" Unit="ME"/>”

4> After following the steps above we can see the BendWithHeel pipe fitting is now available in the Victaullic_si catalog.
