Problem: 

When I am trying to place any Tapered Steel Column or Beam, I am unable to see any section sizes listed.

Solution: 

Step 1: Go to the Configuration Variable dialog, search for the configuration variable PS_WeldShapes and check the path that is defined. To access the Configuration Variables dialog, you can use the search field in the ribbon bar and search for "Configuration Variables".  

Step 2: In Windows File Explorer, navigate to the path  defined above and check whether there are any folders defined  As you are not seeing any sections this folder will probably be empty. 

Step 3: Now go 2 steps up to the ProStructures folder and open any other regional folder, e.g: Australia or New Zealand and Open the folder and search for Shapes sub folder,  there would be a folder named Weldshapes and in that folder a sub-folder named Metric

Step 4: Copy that Metric folder and paste it inside the folder defined by the configuration variable PS_WeldShapes above. Once pasted, launch OpenBuildings Designer and try to place a Tapered Steel Column or Beam. This time as the Configuration Variable is resolving and accessing the desired section contents, you are able to see the sections in the preview and can also place them.
