Steps to accomplish Step 1 Navigate to ConfigurationSetup.cfg which can be found under the Configuration folder in this path: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration Then open this file in a text editor such as Notepad ++. Step 2 In the ConfigurationSetup.cfg file, add the folder path to _USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION where the customized WorkSpaces and WorkSets are located. Do the same thing for the _USTN_CONFIGURATION variable. (in this example it is located on E:\ drive) Step 3 Now launch OpenBuildings Designer and select the custom WorkSpace from the WorkSpace drop-down list: Then from the 'Browse' button select the file which you like to open in the custom WorkSpace and WorkSet:
Then close the application. Step 4 Next, if you want to open any file which lies in the customized WokSpace and WorkSet, just double click on that file from File Explorer and it will open directly in that WorkSpace and WorkSet. Step 5 And if you want to open any file which is in the same WokSpace but is associated with a different WorkSet, after double-clicking that file (from File Explorer) a pop-up message will appear: From there you can choose your desired WorkSet.
