Problem Description: 

How to create and apply a Display Style Rule to elements in OpenBuildings Designer.

Steps to Accomplish:

1. Click on the Display Style List icon:
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the ellipses to open the Display Styles dialog:
   
   
   
3. In the Display Styles dialog, create a new Display Style and rename accordingly:
   
   
   
   
4. In the Render Mode section, set the Display to Filled Visible Edges, and click on Edit Display Rules:
   
   
   
   
5. In the Display Rules dialog create a New Display Rule Set:
   
   
   
   
   
6. Click on the New Display Rule Set and create a New Display Rule:
   
   
   
   
7. Click on the New Display Rule and from the Pick property dialog choose ELEMENT > Wall > Is Wall:
   
   
   
   
8. Now, for your new Display Rule add a Display Rule Action by clicking on the green "+" icon:
   
   
   
   
   
9. Follow the same steps for Rectangular and Round Duct:
   
   
   
   
10. Set the display style's active Display Rules to Custom, and double click on the display style name Custom Rule 01 to apply it:
    
    
    

The overrides defined in your display rule will now be applied.
