How to change Steel Deck properties from GUI in OBD

      Product(s): OpenBuildings Designer
      Version(s): CONNECT Edition
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Structural Design
      Subarea: Deck

    Problem

In Structural ribbon after clicking on the ‘Deck’ tab ‘Place Deck’ window option came up. There it can be found that options under ‘Steel Deck Properties’ are greyed out.

    Solution

In the ‘Place Deck’ window under the ‘Steel Deck’ section go to ‘Kind’. There you can see that chosen option is ‘Table’.

Then click on ‘Table’ and then from the dropdown select ‘Standard’ option,

After that, you can find the ‘Steel Deck Properties’ which are greyed out before now are available for edit.

Here you can add the value as per your requirement.
