How to quickly change the section name of multiple structural elements at once?

Steps to Accomplish

Please follow the below steps through which you can quickly change the section name of multiple structural elements at once

1. At first, place a structural element in this case a Steel Beam is used with a Section Name of 200UB18.

2. Then copy that Steel Beam multiple times.
3. After that open Schedules tab and under Beam | Steel you can see all the beams along with their Section Name.

4. Then you will have to select multiple beams by holding the ctrl button and left clicking on the beams. After selecting multiple beams right click and select “Modify Properties”.

5. After that the Modify Instance Data dialog box will appear and you will have to choose a different Section Name as required and left click to accept the changes.

6. Finally, in the Schedules tool you can see the Section Name of multiple beams are changed at once easily.
