Problem

In OpenBuildings Design Update 9, the Compounds slab is added. There you can create an overhang in any layer which is present in the compound slab. Here is the workflow,

Solution

Steps:

1. Go to slab tool which is present under Architectural or Structural ribbon
2. After clicking on it you can find the ‘Place Compound Slab’ dialog. From there choose ‘Residential Floor Assembly’
3. Just beside that tab, you can find another drop-down. Choose ‘Load Compound Slab Settings’.
4. After clicking on this ‘Compound Slab Editor’ dialog will come up. There you can find the ‘Edge Set Back’ column. There put the value in the layer where you want to create the overhang.
5. Then click on ‘OK’ and you can place the slab with overhang.
