Problem description
By default OpenBuildings Designer is placing walls on a level other than the active level. Is there a process to place a wall on the active level instead?
Solution
Following is the workflow that will allow you to place a wall on the active level:
1. Open the Level Manager dialog and make the required level active level by right-clicking and choosing Set Active. For example, here we have made New_Test the active level:
2. Go to the Family/Part toolbar and change the Level drop-down list from Part Level to Active Level. Note that the "=" symbol will change to "≠" when doing so since you are overriding part assigned symbology-
Now if you place a wall it will use the active level.
The same process applies to the other symbology settings such as color, style, and weight.
