Problem While creating drawings and sheets sometimes some labels are needed which are not available in the list:
SolutionTo add any required property value as a label please follow the steps below.1. In this example there are two columns with the ‘ID | Name (Alternative)’ property value which you want to add as annotation in a 2D drawing. The same could apply to a beam as well. 2. Place a Callout and create a 2D drawing then navigate to that new drawing. Then from there click on the dropdown for Reference and choose the ‘Set Reference Presentation’ option. 3. After the Set Reference Presentation dialog box opens choose the ‘Structural’ tab (1) then click on ‘Add Structural Rule’ (2):
2. The ‘Apply Drawing Rule’ dialog will open. From there, click on ‘Create New Rules’ (1). In the next dialog add ‘Rule Name’ and ‘Description’ (2). Lastly, click on the ‘Label’ tab (3).5. In the same dialog enter your required property name (1) - here we have added it as ‘ID | Name’ - and click on ‘Add’ (2). Then you should see that the property name will display under ‘Custom Label’ (3): And also it will appear in the property list.
6. From the list click on the property name (here ‘ID | Name’) and enter ‘Label position, add text ‘Height’ and ‘Width’. Finally, click on ‘Add Attribute’ at the bottom. From there choose the required property: Then finally click on ‘OK’. 7. In the ‘Apply Drawing Rules’ dialog chooses the applicable option from the ‘Based On’ dropdown list - here we have chosen ‘Part and Family’ and select the required Part/Family as required: 8. Now in the ‘Reference Presentation’ dialog tick on the marked check boxes. After that click on ‘Accept Changes and Push to Saved View’, 9. In the 2D drawing you should see the required annotation:
