Problem While creating drawings and sheets sometimes some labels are needed which are not available in the list,So to add any required property value as a label you need to follow a few steps written below.
Solution
Step-1 For example, You have placed two columns and added the ‘ID | Name (Alternative)’ property value which you wanted to add as an annotation in 2D and sheet view. Do the same for beam also as an example. Step-2 Then place a call out and create a 2D and sheet view. Then neviget to that 2D view. Then from there click on the dropdown for reference and choose the ‘Set Reference Presentation’ option. Step-3 Then the Set reference presentation dialog will popup. From there choose the ‘Structural’ tab (1), then click on ‘Add Structural Rule’ (2)
Step-4 Then ‘Apply Drawing Rule’ dialog will pop up. From there click on ‘Create New Rules’ (1). After that in the next pop-up dialog add ‘Rule Name’ and ‘Description’ (2). And lastly, click on the ‘Label’ tab (3). Step-5 Then in the same dialog enter your required property name (1) ( here we have added it as ‘ID | Name’) and click on ‘Add’ (2). Then you can see that the property name will come under ‘Custom Label’ (3). And also it will appear in the property list.
Step-6 From the list click on the property name (here ‘ID | Name’). There enter ‘Label position, add text ‘Height’ and ‘Width’. Finally, click on ‘Add Attribute’ at the bottom. From there choose the required property. Then finally click on ‘OK’. Step-7 Then in the ‘Apply Drawing Rules’ window chooses the correct option from the ‘Based on’ dropdown. (here we choose it as ‘Part and Family’ and choose the required Part/Family as required) Step-8 Now in the ‘Reference Presentation’ dialog ticked on the marked check-boxes. After that click on ‘Accept Changes and Push to Saved View’, Step-9 In the 2D view, you will finally find the required annotation.
