Problem Description

When I try to place a Compound Slab in my newly created custom WorkSpace the Compound Slab dialog box is empty as shown in the below image. How can I fix this problem?

 

Solution

Please refer to the below mentioned steps to resolve this issue.

1. Navigate to this location: “C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_NM\DataGroupCatalogs”, copy the “CompoundSlab.xml” file and paste it in your customized dataset location under Dataset > DataGroupCatalogs (in this case Dataset_NM was used), then restart OpenBuildings Designer. If available, copy "CompoundSlabAssembly.xml" and "CompoundSlabLeaf.xml" as well.

 

2. After you restart OpenBuildings Designer you should see that the Compound Slab placement dialog is fully populated and works as expected.
