Problem Description

When I try to place structural elements using my newly created custom WorkSpace all of the placement dialog boxes appear empty as shown in the image below. How can I fix this problem?

Solution

Please refer to the below mentioned steps to resolve this issue. 

1. Using Windows File Explorer navigate to this location: “C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Dataset_NM\DataGroupCatalogs”, copy all of the XML files, then paste them into your custom dataset under Dataset > DataGroupCatalogs (in this case Dataset_NM was used).

  

2. Restart OpenBuildings Designer. You should now see that all of the structural placement dialogs are no longer empty and are working ae expected.
