Problem

When I export my DGN file containing railings to DWG format, there are extra lines displayed:

Solution

This results from specific settings that can be changed while converting a DGN file to DWG.

First choose File > Save As > DWG, then click on the ‘Option’ tab:



This will open the ‘Save as DWG/DXF Options’ dialog box. Under the General tab choose Advanced > Application Data > Save Application Data:



Once enabled, click ‘OK’ and then ‘Save’ in the ‘Save As’ dialog box. You should now find that the extra lines displayed with the railings are gone.
