How to add custom nosing profile or Stair profile using PAZ file?

Problem: 

Due to some Architectural requirements, a user wants to add a different nosing profile or customized stair Trades. In the OpenBuildings Designer Connect edition there is a feature that will help you to achieve your requirement.

Solution: 

Step-1

Place your PAZ file that you want to add as stair trade at this location,
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Datasets\Your_DataSet\Frame\StairComponents
Step-2

Open the ‘Place Stair’ dialog box after clicking on ‘Stair’ from Architectural Ribbon. From there click on the dropdown showing in the screenshot and select ‘Load Stair Setting’,

Step-3

From the pop-up window click on ‘Treads’ and select ‘Parametric Profile’ from ‘Trade Type’,

Step-4

Select the PAZ file from the list.

Then click on ‘OK’ and now you will be able to place customized stairs.
