While opening a file in Bentley Facilities Space Planner, which type of models do I need to work on?

Solution

Unless you have specific reasons, we suggest you use MicroStation 3D design files as the basis for your space documents even if you’re only working in 2D. Assets can be displayed with different display filters allowing you to represent a table with a 2D cell as well as a 3D cell. Even if your floor plans are drawn two dimensional you may find it useful to work with 3D assets when it comes to layout/moving and managing furniture and other assets.
