Problem

In AECOSim V8i versions all of the Building Designer tools were available in a Task Interface displayed on the left-hand side of the screen by default:



But in OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition these V8i tasks do not display.

Solution

To use this Task Interface in OpenBuildings Designer there is a variable that you will need  to check: MS_HIDETASKNAVIGATIONWORKFLOW’

1. Open the Configuration Variables dialog by choosing File > Settings > Configuration, find the variable MS_HIDETASKNAVIGATIONWORKFLOW and set its value as ‘0’, then click Save.

2. Next, from the top left of the screen (just beside the workflow list) choose 'Dialog' from the V8i drop-down list:

 

Now you should see the V8i Task Interface in OpenBuildings Designer:
