Problem Description

How to unlock the Materials>Part Definition drop-down list for walls. At the moment, the drop-down list is locked and materials can only be applied once the wall is created.

Steps to Resolve

When you notice that any of the settings are locked in the Place Wall tool, it’s probably because the edit option in the Catalog Editor is disabled for them.

So If you want to unlock this option, you should open the Catalog Editor and search for your item there. If you find it, check the box in the “Editable” column and save the changes. Once you’ve done that, go back to the settings in the Place Wall tool and look that it’s unlocked and is ready to edit.

Note that this change will work for only one catalog item. If you want this option to be enabled for all of your catalog items, you must manually select this setting for each one.
