The range file which is attached as a reference became big.

Problem

This issue could occur in any project where there is a large no of reference files involved in each case.

The reference file is being handled by different persons or different versions of software. So, they are modified multiple times by multiple people. So, chances are some of them become problematic which will ultimately cause this situation.

Solution

Step 1

Create a new dgn file with the same name as the problematic file. Attach the problematic file there.

Step 2

In the reference dialog from the right-click drop-down menu select the ‘Marge it Master’ option.

And save this. This way the old file gets corrected, and a new file has been created.

Step 3

Now go to the main file where the reference needs to be attached. Attach the corrected file here.

You can now find the range has been lowered.
