Quantities of slab showing in DGN but not exported in IFC file.

Problem

This kind of issue typically happens when a custom slab catalog is involved. When the particular DGN is opened the Quantities are showing as usual,


But in the exported IFC file quantities can not be found.

Solution

This issue can be solved using a single tool called ‘Upgrade Schema Utility’.
1. This tool can be found using this workflow below,
File>Utilities>Data Utilities> Schema Upgrade Utility
2. This DataGroup Upgrade window will pop up. From there click on the ‘Upgrade’ button.

3. When Upgradation is completed export the IFC file. There you can see the quantity is visible.
