Bentley Facilities Space Planner Retirement FAQs

When is Bentley Facilities Space Planner being retired?

Bentley Facilities Space Planner solutions and its support will enter the Expiring Support phase beginning March 31, 2024. We will be removing them from the Software Downloads Center by March 31, 2025, giving accounts a complete year to decide on an alternative solution.

Why is Bentley retiring Bentley Facilities Space Planner?

All future versions of Bentley Facilities Space Planner would need to be compatible with the latest ProjectWise version, which requires substantial re-architecture and redevelopment. We discovered challenges with core components of the software, as well as potential security vulnerabilities, due to the software being developed using deprecated technologies. Therefore, the difficult decision was made to retire the product.
