Problem Description

User created a Deck using the "Decking Tool" but when the user tries to change the color of one of it's elements it changes all  elements that belong to the deck, as if they all were associated.  How to change the color of an specific element/piece of a Deck?

Steps to Resolve

The decking tool is driven by Parts and Family meaning that the symbology will be controlled by them. As far as I can tell the deck once is placed is just a form (single) piece. Now, If you have different decks or deck pieces and will like to assign different symbology to each one, then you will have to create custom parts for each one of them.  That way they won't have the same part or symbology assigned and you will have the option to control their symbology individually.
