RE: HVAC manager wont display?

Phill - Apologies for the delay in responding to this query - we had a little difficulty figuring out the cause of the issue before we could find a resolution..

It appears that the issue is caused by removing all of the HVAC systems from the project using the HVAC Manager. Once this is done, applied and ok'd, the HVAC Manager will not re-open again.

There are two resolutions to this - the first is likely the easiest method, but I have included the second for completeness sake.

Option 1

Create a new project in AES
Using Windows Explorer, go to the new project folder and then into the Hvac folder. there should be 3 files in here:
UserHvac - Steadystate heat gain and loss.XML
UserHvacHeader.xml
UserHvacindex.xml
Copy these files into the corresponding HVAC folder in your existing project folder
You should now be able to open the existing project and access the HVAC manager.

Option 2

Assuming you have accepted default installation folders, Using Windows Explorer browse to:
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\AECOsimEnergySimulator V8i\WorkSpace\System\energydata\HVAC\
Locate the Hvac-Steadstate heat gain and loss.xml file and copy it into the HVAC folder in your project directory
Rename the file by inserting "user" at the beginning so it becomes UserHvac - Steadystate heat gain and loss.XML
You should now be able to open the existing project and access the HVAC manager.
