I've down loaded the new v8i 26.06 software and the content package.

Uninitialised the previous v8i software, installed the 26.06 version, and then the content package after as indicated here http://communities.bentley.com/products/building/performance/w/building_performance__wiki/22160.version-26-run-time-error-76-in-netsys-or-connect-after-installation

When I run a calculation in Connect the runtime 53 error occurs.

Please advise.

A Runtime Error 53 is a "File not found" error, indicating that there is a missing data file.

Assuming that the content installation went well, and had no errors, this would suggest that you may have added your own cable types to the software. Could this be the case? If so, they will need adding again.

Duncan,

The installation completed with no issues, and I have created custom cable data the file is looking for.

Can I copy the previous cable data over? It was a pain to create initial cable data.

I have put together a new Wiki document that should prove the quickest way of getting your existing custom cable data into the new installation.
