Pitched Roof, External Walls

Hi Kieran,

Without seeing the project I cannot be 100% sure as to why this is the case, but I would suspect that perhaps these walls are not being totally covered by the roof. I would advise making sure that the roof you have traced is of sufficient size to reach the outer edge of each of your external walls. A quick look at the 3D view should help to make this clear.

How would I send you the project?
From looking a 3D view it appears that the roof over hangs the external wall by around 0.3m.

Also, when I select one of the walls that are not reducing down to the roof size in, 'change surfaces' the wall height has been adjusted to the correct height...?

OK, to send the project please exit Hevacomp, zip the project folder and either attach it to this forum thread, or upload privately as described here.

How exactly did you try to send it and what was the problem? Did you try to log a Service Request? If you could do so then I can get the project off you and discuss the issue in greater detail. I would log one myself for you but I do not know your email address or company details.

I am unable to do a service request a message comes up saying access error. It says I am only entailed to bentley login and public access.

Also, Shane, whilst we're talking I am creating another building, I've uploaded the dxf files but when I come to trace the rooms, the pencil will only snap to vertical or horizontal points and not to the diagonal corners of the room, is there a setting I need to change?
