While the regulations may have been updated on October 2015, we are still waiting on the 'go live' date for the calculation engine (SBEM v5.2g, also known as NCM for EPC production) and the lodgement process. At this stage, even if this calculation engine were available, you would not be able to lodge EPC's using it, and until this goes live, you should continue to use Version 25 (with service pack 29)

Here is a cut and paste from an email from the Team Leader, Energy Sustainability, EPBD and Climate Change, Building Standards Division, Scottish Government:

To update on the timetable for the move to lodgement using the new edition of the NCM for EPC production, for new dwellings and for assessment of all non-domestic buildings.

This release will move newbuild domestic EPC production to SAP 2012, implement v5.2g of SBEM for non-domestic buildings as well as introducing the facility to lodge Display Energy Certificates and Action Plans (in support of section 63 of our Climate Change Act). More information on the last two (new) functions will be circulated by BSD shortly.

Having received feedback on development timetables from providers and agreed register enabling work, the following test schedule and go live date are confirmed:

    Description Key Dates
    UAT Testing Dates 05/02/16 – 18/02/16
    OTE Testing Dates 21/02/16 – 04/03/16
    LIVE Release Date 13/03/16

Until this date, our hands are tied.

    Regards,
    Duncan

  • Duncan,

Has the updated software been released now that the live release date has passed?

    Many thanks,

    Ross
  • Ross - A statement my colleague made a moment ago in the blog:

The current status is that the Service Pack for this has been internally signed-off for release, and we are awaiting accreditation at this point.

I have been informed that this is likely to be completed next week, so the final release date is likely to be in two weeks time. As I know this is of high importance to you and to other users I will make sure to post any developments in this regard, as soon as any information is made available.

As soon as we have a release we will post information in the Blog - I would recommend subscribing to it to be kept up to date.

    Regards,
    Duncan
