Setting wall height

Question

when setting up various floors for a building and you are asked to enter the elevation i am having an issue aligning the floors. 
 
 for example setting the grade on the ground floor top 35.0m then the 1st floor to 42.0m would suggest a wall height of 7.0m however, when i go to the global; setting and set the wall height to 7.0m it overlaps with the 1st floor. Is there a hidden false ceiling i am not accounting for?

So the first thing to mention is that when entering finished floor levels your ground floor should generally be set to 0m. Don't use height above sea level as this will have an effect on sun angles etc. We account for height above sea level in the weather data for the location you set. 
For the wall overlap I assume you mean in the 3D Building view. This can be affected by the false ceiling height in defaults but is purely graphical. It will resolve itself graphically once you go into CAD Input > Roofs\Floors and Setup Intermediate Floors\Ceilings.
