We've decided that we can make this functionality available to all users, and so a new Wiki article is available here. As mentioned before, it is essentially considered an unsupported tool and care should be exhibited when using it.

I went through the slog of re-drawing. However this is a handy tool to know! Thanks for your help on the subject, and yes we of course accept the risks involved.

Please be aware that this document was created - essentially - as an internal document and was only released to one or two users who were very familiar with Design Database and the principles behind it. If you choose to use these methods you do so at your own risk.

The methods in the document describe how to reposition rooms after an incorrectly positioned DXF drawing has been replaced with a correctly positioned one. The routines do not reposition DXF drawings.

There is a feature that is hidden in Design Database that allows you to reposition a floor (the rooms) over a DXF.

Dean - If you can provide a project where the DXF's have been drawn correctly and loaded into each floor, we can have a look at moving the rooms. We do need the DXF's to be in place, however.

If you can the DDB project set up with the DXF's in place, then please PM me and we can pick up the project and see about moving the rooms.
