could someone advise me how I can incorporate LSF twin & earth cable into Connect please
thank you
Ian - Sorry, but a bit confused by your reply - do you mean you into the cable folder and open newcab.ndx with notepad? If so, and the file was empty, that may explain the issue. If this is the case, then download the newcab.ndx from here, and copy it into your
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp\IEE\Cables
folder, overwriting the exiting file.
Once done, start up your software again and see if this has resolved the issue.

Ian - I'm not sure why adding a cable file would cause an error. In the first instance, though, could you try the following?
Go into the C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Hevacomp V8i\Hevacomp\IEE\Cables folder on your computer and identify the NEWCAB.NDX file. Note that ProgramData may be an invisible folder on your computer. If so, paste the path into the address bar of Windows Explorer. Make a copy of the NEWCAB.NDX file.
Open the original file with Notepad and scroll to the bottom of the file. At the bottom there should be the entry for your new cable file. Swap that with the PVC flat entry, ensuring that PVC flat is the last item in the file. Be careful when editing to ensure you don't add blank lines or alter any formatting beyond ensuring PVC Flat is the last entry. Once done, save off the file and try the software again. Let me know how you get on?Thanks,
Hello Ian
Further to my colleagues reply, there are a number of standard LSF cables in the software (highlighted in red), both for single and three phase application - The characteristics of these cables are taken directly from BS 7671. There are also a number of manufacturers cables (for example, the Pirelli ones, highlighted in blue) that may be of interest.
