CIBSE Gain - Temperature rise

I understand that you get different heat gains in the following scenarios:

• Within CIBSE gain tool allow temperature to rise by 1degC
• Within room data increase summer design temp by 1degC

There is a calculation procedure for the first scenario in the Hevacomp manual, however can you advise where this calculation originates from? is it a CIBSE Guide etc?
