Hi, I am using design database, CIBSE gain to calculate the heat gain in a room. I have a special window setup specifically for this project and all the glazing properties have been inputed in the glazing data section. The problem I am having is that when I change the Shading Coefficient and SHGC in the glazing properties section it has no effect on the heat gain in the room?

The different standards used by each Hevacomp calculation prescribe their own equations, each requiring their own particular variables. In the case of the CIBSE Gain calc the most important variables are the Solar Gain Factors. SHGC is not used in CIBSE gain calculations, and is only used in ASHREA calculations.
