Hi
The building is importing vertically rather horizontally, despite that on the dxf is horizontally. Is it something to do with the angle to South (as it is 345deg). The angle to South is entered as per instructions in this forum
Any ideas?
Hello
When you are viewing your DXF in your drawing package, you are looking at it in model space , and the model space has a rotation applied to it. When we import DXF files we take the bare information for the drawing from world space and ignore any model space information. You need to rotate your drawing before creating the DXF file
The angle to south doesn't affect the orientation of the drawing, but is used in the calculations to define surface angles. You might find it useful to look at some training articles that are available through our Learn Server. This document shows you how to access the training. Once there, look at the Hevacomp Mechanical Designer training. You can also consult the user manuals for the software. These are available by either pushing the F1 key in most places, or pushing on question mark buttons.

I'm not an AutoCAD expert by any measure, but you do need to export your drawing in world co-ordinates, not a view. We only consider this information when we import the DXF.Regards,
