I have a project set up in the Design Database and have carried out the Heat Loss Calculations. I now need to go back and alter a few rooms which have Extract Ventilation only so add this ventilation rate and remove the natural infiltration. I'm sure I've done this before but can't remember how it's done? Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
I can see how to add supply air but not the extract rates.
Thanks
Pete
To further clarify this; If the extract air is to be replaced through outside air, for example an open window, then the A/C rate is suitable. If air is replaced from an adjacent room then you should use the fixed temperature air option in the calculation in the calculation. With this method, however, you should run a seperate calculation for your toilets as you wouldn't likely want to specify a fixed temperature at the same rate for other rooms.

As its part of the heat loss calculation, no - we don't have a seperate calculation for this. You could try setting your air change, running a calculation, then resetting it and comparing results, however.
Is there a calculation as to how this effects the heat losses, so I can enter the applicable figure?
Hi John - you should consider the air change fields in room data:Regards,
what would you suggest for a toilet. The extract would be 6 air changes an hour but I can't add that to the heat looses as they would be huge!
