I have added a roof my database however when I review the surfaces it still indicates an internal ceiling. I deleted the roof, re-drew it and now the database has two internal ceilings and a roof.
The heat gain doesn't change with or without the roof, so it does not appear to be considering the heat gain for the added roof.
Please advise how to include the roof, and omit the internal ceilings.

You need to use the Setup Exposed Roofs command to connect your roof surfaces to the rooms below. This article may be of assistance.
