I have just received the latest Technical Bulletin for Stroma. In it they refer to Convention 4.08 - Modelling a zone within a zone. The example of a small office block within a larger warehouse type zone is given, where the smaller zone has no useful floor area above it (no permanent access). Here the 'floor area' above this zone must be discounted from the calculation. With iSBEM this is simply achieved by entering a floor area of 0.1m2. How can this be done in Hevacomp?
Hi Stuart,
Modelling of such spaces can only be directly achieved in Hevacomp Simulator by using Atrium key words. However if you wish to use Design Database for level 3/4 Part L calcs then there are three workaround options available - please see further details here.
Should you wish to manually edit surface areas then you could use method three - converting to Room Data mode. However please ensure to backup your project before doing so, as detailed here.
This should give you what you need. Please let me know if you have any questions.
