You'll need to check these results with your accreditation scheme provider as I can't see anything untoward from a Hevacomp point of view - there are no errors and the software seems to be working fine. They will be much better placed to advise.

Hi Shane,

I am selecting each individual in order to get an individual EPC for each unit and also selecting the units by 3 rooms each (Unit restaurant, Toilet & kitchen) in order to differentiate each zones heating or cooling system. I am selecting one retail unit at a time for example- Unit 7 WC/ Unit 7 Kitchen & Unit 7 so I can add hot water to the restaurant WC and kitchenette areas.

The WC & Kitchen areas have no heating or cooling but the unit restaurant area has heating and cooling only. So I'm not sure as to why there is zero notional heat load.

Hi Josh,

Just to check, are you running the calc on a zone by zone basis? I ask as quite a lot of them are designated as 'No heating or Cooling' in HVAC data.

Hi Josh,

Running parts of a model can cause the SBEM calc to return unpredictable results, in my experience. I can take a look at your Hevacomp model to see if anything untoward is apparent, however it is difficult for us to comment on SBEM results as BRE control the calculation method. With this in mind I would strongly advise contacting your assessor scheme provider and/or BRE.

Meanwhile, could you please upload your project to this link, and I will take a look.

Hi Shane,

All the retail units are next to each other and require separate EPC's and all have the same mechanical/electrical input. Yes the value is currently being shown as zero except one retail unit for some reason.

And yes I am referring to the Energy Consumption by End Use kwh/m2 section of the Compliance report.

Hi Josh,

When you say there is no Notional value, what do you mean exactly - is it being shown as zero, or just blank? Also, are you referring to the 'Energy Consumption by End Use' section of the Compliance report?

Tried it without Heat recovery and Natural ventilation and that seems to bring the heating value to a reasonable level**
