Hi, I am running my Hevacomp form the server so couple of people got access to the server, since yesterday my Jet DDB only CIbse gains are not working in any of the projects. Had some problems with one of it yesterday but looks like it stopped working for all of them...Tried to run it from the desktop and it's not working and not working from other machine too.
Thanks for any help.
Hi Joanna - when you say "running from the server" do you mean your project is stored on a server? And when you say "not working" - could you elaborate? Are you unable to open CIBSE gains? Does the graph show, but not the results? Do you get a run time error?Regards,
Duncan Brown
Hi Duncan,
yes project are stored on the server but Hevacomp installed on the local machine.
not working means it’s not responding just blant Jet DDB window but nothing happens even try to left it overnight.
didn’t get run time error but when trying to run from back up got message about Graphics server not responding or something but just once don’t remember exact message sorry.
Thank you.
Joanna - can you get me a screen shot of the blank window? And also see if you can re-generate the message? Thanks,
Just tried to run it now,
What I have done is I tried to run it from my desktop as I have got a copy saved locally and it seems to run okay for the first time,
then I tried same project saved on the server and it's just thinking not running report. see Below.
Also when tried to run same project from my desktop which I already had copied before after running one from the server causing same issue as on the server but when run as a first one for the first time runs fine.
And then got this message.
Also I've noticed that Hevacomp is creating some files where my server location is not where the project is every time I am trying to run heat gains report if that helps. See below.
Hope that helps to solve the issue.
Regards,
Joanna
The TMP files are very likely being generated because Crystal Reports is failing, and as a result, failing to clean up after itself. You can delete them with no issue. I also think the Graphics Server message could be a knock on from that - If we need to come back to that, then we will. For now, however, you have a corrupt installation of Crystal Reports and this must be removed and replaced.Ensure you are logged onto your computer with and administrator account and with UAC turned off. If you don't do this then you may not be able to remove or reinstall Crystal Reports and could damage the installer. Once logged onto your computer with the correct credentials, consult this document. This takes you through uninstalling and reinstalling Crystal Reports.Regards,
