Runtime error 9 netsys HWS

HI,

I'm currently working on a HWS via netsys and the message runtime error 9 keeps appearing when i'm trying to do floor connectors. This is causing the system to crash.

Are you able to assist in any way or provide any advice please ?

Kind Regards,

Claire Mackenzie

  • That’s the project been zipped over to you,

As for the FCC its on the 9TH floor, the last room on the right.

Although it’s happening on the FFC at present it’s been happening with a number of the risers throughout the building.

Data being entered is : Floor number for connector 8
Height above floor level 3m, with the special level set at 0.

Thanks for your help, hopefully it’s just a minor issue, as you’ll be able to see it’s a very large project I’m currently working on.

    Best Regards

  • Hi Claire - I've had a look at the project. Unfortunately, there are some issues with it that are affecting stability. I noted that when I added in FCC's I was also generating a pipe section down to the DXF origin, which suggests to me there are some damaged pipe nodes. Unfortunately, there is no way of identifying these, nor deleting them.

My best suggestion would be to revert to a backup copy or to start again from scratch.

If starting from scratch, I would recommend the following workflow:

Create each floor by loading the DXF
Once all floors are in place, draw the main part of the lowest floor's network
Use the "Copy services..." from the floors menu to copy the services onto each floor
Use this method to draw in risers and FCC's once the rest of the pipes are in place.

    Regards,

    Duncan Brown

  • Thanks Duncan,

I have reverted to the good old fashion hand calculations on this occasion now,

However, for future reference. Are you able to copy the FCC’s between floors? I do copy the pipework from floor to floor but have never copied the FCC’s in.

Thank you for taking a look at my project, I appreciate the advice.

  • The FCC's and System Markers are not copied.

Whenever I set up a multi-floor project, I tend to draw the services for the floor, add a temporary system marker, test the floor in isolation, then copy the services as required. Once all floors are set up, then I consider the FCC's and draw the riser up each floor in turn, finally connecting each floor into the riser.

  • Brilliant,
