Can some please help me get a flat internal ceiling on the top floor.
Its a simple pitched roof with an internal ceiling. But the 3D model does not show a flat ceiling.
I have used the roof/floors tab to no avail. The attached image tells me the system has put in an angled ceiling.
Hi Craig - when you "Set up Roofs" you should ensure that "Flat ceiling under this roof" is selected. This will introduce a flat ceiling using the default ceiling type you specified in Cad Input > Defaults/Defaults data.Regards,

To expand on this a little - this will adjust room volume to take account of the flat ceiling. You should still ensure that your roof constructions consists of your internal ceiling, airgap and roof construction.regards,
Duncan many thanks for the response.
I have used the "Flat ceiling under this roof" box and every other combination of ticks.
The ceiling keeps coming in at an angle as the image shows.
Just cant figure out why the 3D cad view shows and angled ceiling.
The 3D image of the rooms also shows the sloping walls - but does DDB account for a flat ceiling and recalc the volumes?
Cheers
Craig
Craig - The 3D model will always show the profile of the roof, regardless of whether a flat ceiling has been selected. Selecting "Flat ceiling" will adjust the room volumes accordingly.Regards,
