Hi Guys,
I'm working on a large Part L model which is having an issue with high heating energy consumption. In the BRUKL report the glazing U-values are sitting at 5.6 but the glazing in fabric data is set to 1.1. I have checked the glazing through CAD input, global change and reset the calc on the Part L software. Would you be able to take a look at it for me?
Thanks
Andrew.
Hi Andrew, my first thoughts are that it could possibly be due to glazing in your doors? They will be taken as windows if over 50% glazed - see here. If that doesn't explain it please upload to this link and I will take a look for you.

Hi Andrew - could you provide a screen shot of the criterion 2 section of the Brukl document? For e.g:Thanks,
Duncan Brown
Hi Duncan/Shane,
Thanks for getting back to me. I've uploaded the model.
I don't know how to upload an image. In the criterion 2 section of the BRUKL at the windows section. In the Ua-calc and Ui-calc column I have a U-value of 5.6, the surface where this occurs is on a first floor window.
The surface has three windows. I have checked that they have the correct fabric data assigned to them, when this didn't work I tried to change the windows via global change.
Hi Andrew,
I've checked all windows and type 27 is used throughout - taking a look at this in Glazing Data shows the same u-value as reported in the BRUKL document:
Would appreciate if you could please clarify. Am I missing something?

Hi Shane,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I had checked everything else apart from the fabric data section. The windows should've been set to 1.1 instead of 5.6, so I've fixed my error.
Thanks again,
Andrew
